Anita’s Song 1, Anita’s Song 2, Anita’s Song 3
The murals are a reflection on the vital elements that helped shape Barrio Anita's past and future. The murals pay homage to the family members, leaders, and artists who nurture the people of Anita. These figures are intertwined with representations of the water that once flowed through the neighborhood that brought together a diverse population. Anita's Song 3, on the northeast corner of St. Mary's Road and I-10, tells the story of the five elements used to purchase the land for Barrio Anita from Apache settlers: horses, guns, serapes, gold, and tobacco.
