Stainless steel is a 20th century metal to be placed in an equally contemporary environment. A mirror bright finish, as I interpret the metal, makes the environment part of the sculpture.
The sculpture is set on a rotating base and is turned every month or so, providing a subtle change for the people who pass by it every day. As the seasons change, as the piece rotates, there is a continual display of unique views, shadows and reflections. Title to the work is held by the University of Arizona Museum of Art. Funds were provided by the Law College Association; with additional funds from the Edward J. Gallagher, Jr. Memorial Fund.
