Referencing local Craftsman-style architecture paired with organic foliage, artist Bob Thompson worked with mild steel, copper, silicon bronze, and red and brown basalt pumice lava rock to create the shuttle's structure. Originally complete in 1998, Thompson refurbished to piece in 2015.
