Sentinel Plaza

The site and its monumental forms create a presence of sentinels, testaments honoring the peoples living here in prehistoric times. While the sleekness of the architectural forms will soften over time, these contemporary sculptures derived from prehistoric ruins combine an ancient building material with a modern composition and process. The resulting forms, with an ever-changing play of light and shadow on the pure rammed earth, are unique in their pedestrian-scaled environment in a place of historic significance.
