Created as an artwork of chance, artist Don Cowen used fragments of shattered lens from the University of Arizona's Optical Sciences department to create this sculptural work which is now housed in the department's main building.

While working as an artist and illustrator for the Optical Sciences Department at the University of Arizona, artist Don Cowen took the remnants of a shattered glass disk to create an artwork from opportunity. The sculpture showcases these fragments in a steel structure.
