Carl Heldt, Untitled, 1974.

Meant to mimic the appearance of books, artist Carl Heldt worked with the architectural firm of Friedman and Jobusch to create a large-scale collage constructed from wood. The wood was collected from various ghost towns in Southern Arizona, as well as by donation to the artist. The combination of the aged wood and photoengraved plates made from early photographs in the "Arizona Daily Wildcat" tell the tale of the University of Arizona's History.
