Join us in welcoming Yurika Isoe and Woods Fairchild to the Arts Foundation team!
“In the past year, Tucson’s creative workforce has faced challenges like never before. In response, the Arts Foundation pivoted — creating new emergency grants and funding, adapting Open Studio Tours to an online format, and focusing specifically on the diversity and equity of our programming — all in the goal of reaching out and supporting our talented community of artists, culture bearers, and creative workers in Southern Arizona. When looking toward the future of the Arts Foundation, these values led our search for the positions of Grants and Services Manager and Public Art Assistant Manager. In this search, we sought out people who not only uphold these same values but who would exemplify them in support of the Arts Foundation moving forward.
I am pleased to say that Yurika and Woods not only have a sincere love and appreciation for both our community and the arts but are also talented, empathetic, and driven people whose values align with the Arts Foundation’s vision. We, as an organization, still have so much good work ahead of us and I firmly believe that the forms of knowing and means of conveying truth that is unique to the creative industry will help us create the equitable futures our communities and our families deserve. With Yurika and Woods’ help, the Arts Foundation will continue to invest in Southern Arizona’s artists, culture bearers, and creative workers who persevere to press forward, sharing their talents and creative cognitive labor as a means of translating ordinary experiences and transforming them into notable and extraordinary moments.
I am thrilled to share more about Yurika and Woods below and welcome them wholeheartedly to the Arts Foundation team. I look forward to our work together!”
