Inna Rohr

About Inna Rohr

I was born in 1984 in Tallinn, Estonia - a cozy Northern European Country. In 2004 I moved to Tucson, Arizona where I have been living and working ever since. Being immersed in Russian, European and Western cultures has played a significant role in my development as an artist.
Creating for me is a way to unmask myself and I invite the viewer to do the same: to connect and recognize one another for who we are. My primary medium is oils.

About the Process

Inna’s primary medium is oils; however, deeply observing the subject reveals the way it wishes to be realized, at times creating new techniques.
Inna’s landscapes celebrate simplicity and the often overlooked beauty of Tucson. She is especially drawn to nocturnal scapes, streetlights, glowing street reflections on rare rainy days, and endless miles of electric wires connecting the city like a nervous system in a body.
Dreams, serendipity and reality blend and become the subjects of her work. In her figurative work Inna Rohr explores human vulnerability, strength, sexuality, fears, power, vices and humor. Female strength is inspirational and often becomes the subject of Inna’s work.
Inna Rohr exhibits locally and nationally; her artwork is in private collections across the United States and Europe. She also founded and manages a new artist-run gallery “Untitled Gallery” in downtown Tucson.
