While hiking, hunting, camping or rafting, I am constantly observing the changes in color and light as the day unfolds. This amplifies the experience and pleasure of my time in the outdoors and greatly inspires my paintings.

My paintings always start in my own personal travels. Each painting is a personal experience I've had. Some paintings are done En Plein Air (on site) and others are from photos which often start with a small on site study.
