Educational Outreach

Our educational outreach is ever expanding and reaching more students in Pima county. The 2024 festival included an educational performance at the Fox Theatre with TImbalooloo, Chief Adjuah in residency at several schools, Brazilian guitarist Diego Figueiredo leading a masterclass, Ken Peplowski working and performing with HS/UA/Pima students, and Grace Kelley and Leo P. performing at a local High School.

Building Community within a Festival

Engaging with our local community is key to our mission and plays a role with the inclusivity environment that festival creates. We realize that not every event is affordable to everyone in our community. Offering several free events creates the opportunity for anyone in the community to attend some aspect of the festival.  For example, every Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we offer a mini festival within a festival with a free day of jazz.  We partner with local businesses,  close down a street down, and have multiple stages performing from 11am-7pm.  Local and national artists adorned the stages with students performing along seasoned professionals.

Presenting An Annual World-Class Jazz Festival
We present the best of the best, and there are none better than our world class musicians to create that "transformative experience, and genuine human exchange." The elevated live music presented at the festival makes a difference for our community.
